Beren and Lúthien, in their disguises as wolf and bat, look towards Angband across Anfauglith on their quest for the Silmaril.

By the counsel of Huan and the arts of Lúthien he [Beren] was arrayed now in the hame of Draugluin, and she in the winged fell of Thuringwethil. Beren became in all things like a werewolf to look upon, save that in his eyes there shone a spirit grim indeed but clear; and horror was in his glance as he saw upon his flank a bat-like creature clinging with creased wings. Then howling under the moon he leaped down the hill, and the bat wheeled and flittered above him.

Photoshop 7.0, 3 - 4 hours. Originally this was meant to become a manip of Fingon setting out to find Maedhros, but I couldn't find the appropriate stock for that, so changed my mind and decided on something else.

love the eerie, grungy feeling here...I would've liked more sharpness to this piece, but it's a fascinating interpretation. :heart: looks like the cover of a rock album, too.

Thanks for the feedback - and you may well be right about the lack of sharpness. With this screen I find it very hard to say, but should be able to check on another screen soon (hopefully) and will be sure to look at that issue. :)

Other than that, thank you so much. A rock album cd cover, huh? Interesting! :)
