Do you know the feeling when you see stocks and just know you have to use them or go mad? Well, that was the case here, and now that I reuploaded the piece with edited colours, it looks a little closer to what I imagined. Varda Elentári, Tintalle the Starkindler.

With Manwe dwells Varda, Lady of the Stars, who knows all the regions of Eä. Too great is her beauty to be declared in the words of Men or Elves, for the Light of Ilúvatar lives still in her face. In light is her power and her joy. [...] Of all the Great Ones who dwell in this world the Elves hold Varda most in reverence and love. Elbereth they name her, and they call upon her name out of the shadows of Middle-earth, and uplift it in song at the rising of the stars.

This one's so lovely! ^_^ I had to go find my username so I could login and comment. It's very much like a constellation and truly inspiring because the Valar are so passive most of the time whereas this is truly giving a gift to those living in the dark. It's amazing how you see these things so naturally in stock images when it would never occur to me in a thousand years. Varda even looks beautiful despite the vagueness of her facial features. Lucky Manwe.

This is simply amazing. Usually renditions of any characters from Tolkien's work rarely live up to how I envision them in my head, but this far surprasses what I could have imagined...

Yes, I can see how those stock pictures would've inspired immediate usage! And it turned out absolutely beautiful. This is such an amazing interpretation of Varda - so far abstracted from the more common "human form" (not that there's anything wrong with that) and so much more focused on the spirit and office. Brilliant (no pun intended).

WOW! What a perfect way to portray Varda kindling the stars into life. I advise everyone to DL the full version as there is so much more detial you can make out. i love the way her hair is light, and she is literally crowned with stars.
