Idril Celebrindal of Gondolin, daughter of King Turgon, wife of Tuor, mother of Eärendil. She is said to have great wisdom and foresight, and was aware that something was rotten in the vale of Gondolin long before Morgoth launched his attack on the city. The cornflower features prominently in her device. The eagles were the guardians of Gondolin, and an eagle was later made the emblem of the Gondolindrim.
