Silmarillion: Betrayed by LadyElleth Silmarillion: Betrayed by LadyElleth
Fingon, witnessing the Burning of the Ships at Losgar from afar, as Maedhros does on the other side: [link]

So in that place which was called Losgar at the outlet of the Firth of Drengist ended the fairest vessels that ever sailed the sea, in a great burning, bright and terrible. And Fingolfin and his people saw the light afar off, red beneath the clouds; and they knew that they were betrayed. This was the firstfruits of the Kinslaying and the Doom of the Noldor.

(The Silmarillion, Of the Flight of the Noldor)

Really interesting series. New and darker feelings, with a very interesting use of blurr and dark tones. Gives to the whole Silmarilion atmosphere the flavor of failure it has throughout. I like it a lot. Thank you!

Very good use of color and whatnot. Have a metaphorical cookie from me, and buy yourself a real one or two.

Just one or two? That'll never satisfy my eternal craving for cookies. :D Thank you, anyway!

Ah, this scene is so tragic. :sniff: I love it for it, though, and the colours you used here fit perfectly.

Thank you - I'm glad it struck a chord with you. Without the colours I suppose it would be even bleaker... and that doesn't fit the Silmarillion at all.

True! But these flames against the sky looks fittingly dramatical.
