Kortirion

Inspired by, and made for, two ladies in particular. Dawn Felagund, whose stories never fail to entrance me - happy birthday! And Adele, whose Tolkien songs ([link]) do the same and should be far more widely known. She is currently putting Kortirion Among the Trees to music, one of my favourite Tolkien poems for years, and her song inspired me to do this. Of course the manip came out completely different than intended, but I still couldn't be happier.

O climbing town upon thy windy hill
With winding streets, and alleys shady-walled
Where now untamed the peacocks pace in drill
Majestic, sapphirine, and emerald;
Amid the girdle of the sleeping land,
Where silver falls the rain and gleaming stand
The whispering host of old deep-rooted trees
