I don't actually recall. I came here looking for Tolkien fanart, but I don't know why I registered, what with the fact that I can't draw and back then my notion of Photomanipulation (though I'd done it for a while then, if not in my current style) was a very strange one that didn't fit the DA rules either. I remember coming back in 2006 and trying to register to upload some photos that I thought were fairly good, and imagine my surprise at finding that not only the username, but also the email were taken...

--> What does your user name have to do with you? Is it a combination of your favourite things, or a character of yours?

It's... a favourite sound of mine. No, really. Ignore the 'Lady', that one is only because I was uncreative and 'Elleth' was taken more or less everywhere, but I loved the name since reading the Silmarillion for the first time and finding that Finduilas was laid to rest in Haudh-en-Elleth, and I liked the meaning too.

Both. I try to comment, but sometimes that just doesn't happen, even though I dislike to fave and run.

These days, mostly Tolkien-themed photomanips, and the occasional odd one out if something else has enough impact to get me out of my uncreative mindset.

Not in the new system of clubs, which I have yet to familiarize myself with, but in the old one, yes. Contests, sometimes, if something can tickle my fancy. I'd like to hold one as well, but lack ideas (and donators for prizes).

If we're looking at digital art, I wish I were better at composition and perspective.

Have been on and off, if there has been a contest win or something of the sort that enabled me to go paid. Not usually.

Probably half an hour to 45 minutes average when I'm checking messages, replying to comments and browsing. When I'm working on a manip that is hard to say. I've lost a few afternoons and/or nights hunting for stock images.

Medium, bordering on slow, I suppose, though then I also barely mistype.

So far there has only been one annoying person I had to deal with, trying to instigate another instance of race!wank over the upcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender movie. I'm afraid I fed that troll plenty before finally registering that they were leading me on. Thank goodness for the 'hide comment' feature.

Books, stories, languages, people, history, pictures... everything, when my mind is 'working right' I can completely understand the 'artists don't see a block of stone, they see the figure hidden within', and at those times creating is awesome and fun, instead of slogging through layer upon layer of muck.

I have been practicing to draw for a while now, so mostly pencils, but none of the results are even worth mentioning in any positive way.

Yup.

Not because of the people or the feedback, or anything like that, but I regularly become disenchanted with my own stuff and wish it would just either get better, or go away entirely. And on that cheerful note we end...
